PROSTATE CANCER CENTRE SECOND STAGE

The second stage of the Prostate Cancer Centre will commence late November 2009 and is expected to be in full operation by June 2010.  The second stage is the construction of a new brachytherapy bunker, CT scan facility and additional necessary rooms to accommodate and enhance the treatment of men that require brachytherapy treatment.

It will be a welcome relief for Dr Joe Bucci but a huge benefit to many men that are eligible for brachytherapy treatment.

To accommodate the brachytherapy bunker and adjoining rooms and facilities, it was necessary to have built a first floor addition and ten new rooms to the Cancer Centre that has accommodated medical staff and administration. The doctors and staff moved into the first floor in January 2009.
