Upcoming Events:

The Prostate Cancer Institute is progressing mainly due to the sponsorship support, profits from fundraising events staged by the committee and the community support from many other community based organizations.

A prolific fundraiser has been the Hurstville Mayoral Charity Golf Day that will be held for the seventh occasion on Friday 6 November. The day is headed by Hon Kevin Greene, Minister for Sport & Recreation, Minister for Gaming and Racing, a community committee and gained substantial support from Hurstville City Council and a vast network of sponsors providing an annual contribution of around $35,000 to the PCI.

To even further enhance the Mayoral Golf Day and benefit the PCI, a full weekend of golf will take place at Hurstville culminating in the first Pro-am Tournament held on the 18 hole golf course since the bicentennial year, 21 years ago. Westpac has provided the costs to stage the event on Sunday 8 November and many leading professional stars will compete. Another benefit for the PCI is a closest to the pin under lights on Saturday night from 7pm to 9pm.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Day Saturday 14 November 2009

A free seminar on Prostate Cancer is being staged at the Research & Education Centre, 4-10 South Street Kogarah from 10am to 2pm. Supported by Novartis Oncology and the PCI, many leading doctors will be in attendance to discuss many aspects of prostate cancer. For further information click here.

Cronulla International Cycle Grand Prix (Sunday 13 December 2009)

The Cronulla International Cycle Grand Prix to be staged at Elouera Beach will be another opportunity to assist the fundraising efforts as well as raise extensive exposure for the Prostate Cancer Institute.

The race profiles the work of the PCI during the 90 minute live coverage nationally on Network Nine from 12.30pm to 2pm.
