The Prostate Cancer Institute is progressing mainly due to the sponsorship support, profits from fundraising events staged by the committee and the community support from many other community based organizations.

A prolific fundraiser has been the Hurstville Mayoral Charity Golf Day and more recently the Westpac Pro-am, also staged at Hurstville Golf Course in conjunction with the Mayoral Day. The day is headed by Hon Kevin Greene, Minister for Sport & Recreation, Minister for Gaming and Racing, a community committee and gained substantial support from Hurstville City Council and a vast network of sponsors, including outstanding support from Lugarno Lions and St George Lions Club providing a significant annual contribution.

In conjunction with the AJC, the PCI will be staging the Prostate Cancer Institute Race Day at Royal Randwick on 11 June 2011.

The Prostate Cancer Institute Ball will be staged at Shangri La Hotel on Friday 19 August.
